Bike Fit

Repetitive movements

Cycling involves repetitive movements, and poor positioning can strain joints and muscles. A bike fit aims to optimise your positioning to align your knees, hips, and shoulders correctly, reducing the risk of overuse injuries.

Your biomechanics and flexibility

A bike fit with a physiotherapist also takes into consideration your personal biomechanics. It’s no good trying to get you into the most aggressive time-trialling position ever if you have super short hamstrings. We will conduct range of movement testing as part of your setup.

Optimising position, reducing fatigue and injury risk

A proper bike fit ensures that your bike is adjusted to your body’s unique measurements, flexibility, and riding style. I will also take into consideration any current or previous injuries. The ultimate aim is to reduce pressure on the saddle, knees, hands, wrists, neck, and lower back, allowing you to ride longer distances without discomfort or pain.
