Alex Dunnett
Alex graduated in 2014 from the University of East Anglia in the UK. She immediately gained experience in neurological and musculoskeletal physiotherapy whilst also working alongside local kayak and cycling clubs.
In 2016 she moved to New Zealand and has worked in private practice since, dedicating herself to widening her skillset into numerous areas including biomechanical assessment and retraining, pain management, manual handling, workplace assessment and instructing Pilates.
Alex has acquired additional qualifications in advanced shoulder rehabilitation. Having her two children also sparked an interest in postpartum recovery and return to sport.
Alongside her work Alex has competed on the international stage in rowing and 24 hour mountain bike racing. Following her move to New Zealand she then started multisport and adventure racing. Also a passionate kayaker, packrafter and skier, any sport is an excuse to get into the backcountry! Now a mum of two, Alex continues to get out and race when she can but most days you will find her hiking a mountain with a child on her back or cycling the local trails with the chariot in tow!
Alex is passionate about connecting with people and finding sustainable solutions to problems, enabling her clients to return to their activities long term.
